The 77th Frankfurt Book Fair will be a global marketplace for licensing and rights, and — in turbulent times — a meeting point for political debate. It will also be a festival where stories, authors and readers come together.
Mega Basım will once again take the stage in Frankfurt. Located in Hall 3.1, stand J100, Mega Basım will meet with European publishers at the fair. As one of the global players of the Turkish printing industry, our experts will take the opportunity to expand our network, move toward new markets and new products, and keep a close eye on global trends.
The 77th Frankfurt Book Fair (15–19 October 2025) will be about connection and conversation. At a time of escalating global conflicts, the most important gathering of the international publishing industry will foster dialogue. Fair Director Juergen Boos says: “The book fair in Frankfurt is the place where the world comes together. In this period of global tension, we need spaces for exchange, listening and cooperation more than ever. Our mission is to connect people — as an international marketplace for rights and licensing, a stage for public debate, and a festival of compelling stories. In Frankfurt, we celebrate books and the power of dialogue to cross all borders.”
Culture and Politics on the New Agora Stage
One of the new developments at the book fair is the Agora stage in Hall 4.1. Among other topics, the stage will host Frankfurter Buchmesse’s programme “THE FRANKFURT CALL — Perspectives on Culture and Politics.” It will serve as a forum for dialogue on human rights and freedom of expression, the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, authoritarianism and strategies of democratic resistance, and the significance of artificial intelligence for the future of business and society. Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Ressa will take part, along with former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Palestinian bookseller Mahmoud Muna, and Germany’s Federal Minister of Justice Dr. Stefanie Hubig.
